Where to buy food
I've recently gotten interested in eating locally and organically. Michael Pollan's books, The Omnivore's Dilemma: A Natural History of Four Meals, and In Defense of Food: An Eater's Manifesto, are current influences on my thinking. While Omnivore's Dilemma is dense and a bit dry, In Defense of Food sparkles with wit and telling commentary about our culture and it's relationship to food.
I enjoyed being a member of a CSA (community supported agriculture). Cedar Valley Sustainable Farm. This CSA produces meat, beef, chicken, pork and eggs. I'm hesitant to subscribe to a produce CSA since I try to grow my own.
